My Country Tis of Me – More

Mark Singer, who profiled Trump for the New Yorker in 1997 and later wrote the book, "Trump & Me", says "Trump is a terrible listener but that’s a characteristic of narcissistic people. They’re not engaged with anybody else’s issues.”

Ken Auletta, reporter for the New Yorker, 74, tells this revealing story about Trump. Auletta, whose father knew Trump’s father, bumped into Trump at a New York Knicks basketball game. “Trump came over and said, ‘Hey, Kenny!’ Nobody calls me Kenny. Trump says, ‘Hey Kenny, how’s your pop?’ I said, ‘Well, actually he died.’ ‘Oh, I’m sorry to hear that.’

“So the next year at a Knicks game I see him and he says, ‘Kenny, how’s your pop?’ So I said, ‘Well, actually he died.’ ‘Oh, I’m sorry to hear that.’ The third year I see him, he says, ‘Hey Kenny, how’s your pop?’ I said, ‘My dad’s the same,’ and I walked away.”
